MRE STAR’s Pink Spoon Campaign to promote Breast Cancer Awareness runs the entire month of October 2025. Most people familiar with MREs (Meals, Ready To Eat) will recognize the big brown spoon included within every U.S. military MRE. Some may have also heard the phrase "Keep your spoon!" from a fellow soldier or former military friend or relative.

MRE spoons are used of course to eat an MRE, but resiliant and industrious soldiers everywhere have also found many alternate uses for this long sturdy utensil; including using them to replace antennas on broken radio headsets, as impromptu insulators for setting up explosive devices or as the rumor goes an "Army Ranger Gets Confirmed Kill With MRE Spoon".

Whatever the reason, the big brown MRE spoon has become a symbol to many people. A symbol which represents where you’ve been, how difficult the journey was and what it took for you to get to where you are right now.

Resilient. Courageous. Strong.

During the month of October 2025, MRE STAR will be exchanging the big brown spoon packaged inside every MRE STAR meal with a BIG BEAUTIFUL PINK SPOON to recognize, honor and support all women fighting breast cancer. MRE STAR will donate up to $10,000 to our local breast cancer awareness center, www.MyBreastFriends941.org from all online sales during the month of October.
